
HIGH PLAINS REGIONAL RENDEZVOUS

The High Plains Regional Rendezvous is a family friendly pre-1840 Rendezvous. All camps, accoutrements, clothing & trade goods are required to be representative of the pre-1840 Fur Trade Era. Come along & experience the beauty of Fort Sisseton Historic State Park on the Coteau des Prairies (or hills of the prairies).

Named for the nearby Sisseton Tribe of the Sioux Nation, Fort Sisseton played an important role in tribal trade relations. 14 original buildings remain so there is lots to explore & learn!

Opening Ceremonies: Sunday, June 21st at 7:00pm
Closing Ceremonies: Saturday, June 27 at 11:00 am
Public Entry Allowed: June 20th 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Sun, June 21st 10:00am - 4:00 pm
Camp Meetings: Tuesday & Thursday at 6:00pm Auction: Friday at 7:00 pm

★ Rendezvous participants must wear primitive clothing to enter, occupy & leave camp from the start of opening ceremonies through the end of closing ceremonies. This includes proper footwear for participants of all ages.
â—‹ While primitive clothing is not required during setup prior to opening ceremonies, participants are required to change into primitive clothing after setup.
★ Pets allowed, always on a secured leash & under control. Current vaccinations required. Be prepared to show proof of vaccines if park sta asks for them. It’s the owner’s responsibility to clean up after their pets. We are at a state park & must abide by governing regulations.

RULES OF THE RENDEZVOUS

Regular Gate Hours
Saturday, June 20th 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday, June 21st 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Short Term Gate Hours
Monday, June 23 - Friday June 27 8:00 am - 9:30 am (no entry after 9:00 am) 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
★ Long Term Gates close at 4pm, June 21st.
★ Loading & unloading limited to 2 hours on June 20th & 21st.
★ Loading & unloading in Short Term Camp as well as vehicle removal must be done within Short Term Gate Hours June 22-26.
★ Gates will be closed until completion of Closing Ceremonies
★ Per State Park regulations, all camps must exit the park no later than sundown on Sunday, June 28th.
